To some, Christmas means Christmas trees, snow, presents, and turkey! (the poor turkey, it must be thinking ‘why me?’) To Christians it’s the celebration of the birth of Christ. To some it means the season of giving and loving. To others it’s just a holiday.

I guess to me, it’s a combination of all the above. It’s a day where I go to church to get reminded why I’m a Christian. It’s a time to buy presents and send cards. It’s a time to receive! Also it’s a great reason for me to feel festive and celebrate with good food!

Some trivia: Did you know Christmas is not the true birthday of Jesus Christ? The actual birthday is not known, but it is said that the early church set 25th Dec as Christmas to replace the pagan festivals that took place in Dec.

Christmas in Singapore is really not v festive, what with the rains or the scorching sun, but I’m sure it beats Christmas in Dubai, all alone and far away from home in a sandy place. I’m glad to be home but I’d like to visit a place with snow one Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all! Hohoho!
